I've just listened to interview with Dolores whom was telling about her new album, and inspirations for new songs."Black Widow" it's a metaphore of a cancer. For sure it was inspired by some memories from her life, from her friend's life lika she sad.

It is very sad song, sad but true...Shows how even very strong people may have loose in their fight with life.Shows how we are helpless....

The song was inspired by her husband's mother, who died of cancer a few years ago.

Thanks Luca I didn't know, cause Dolores didn't say anything clear about that. But I knew that it just too deep, to be unreal...

Actually Dolores did tell clearly what the song was about, you just didn't happen to run into it.  I read it in an interview and I also watched a video interview where she talked about her mother-in-law's disease.

At first, I wasn't very into this song...it even disappointed me, because I was expecting something really obscure and powerful (probably due to the song's name), although it is obscure and powerful, I used to think it was not what I expected...but lately I've started to love it, especially the lyrics, and the chorus, and her voice, the piano...lol everything! She even said in a concert that it is probably her darkest song ever, and she's totally right.

So much emotion in this song, I love it!
I always put this song on when I'm driving my car, volume way up, screaming pull me out at the top of my lungs.
Great way to vent frustration and anger. Embarrassed

Take me for granted you are taking the piss!

She has sung a lot of sad songs and I think this is the worstConfused I play her album in repeat and it's the only song I exclude.
