What are they thinking Apple as a single would suck royally! It should be either October or Accept Things hell with it I'll even except Loser but Apple isn't really what the "American" mainstream is looking for and I think it would be the end of the album sales if they release Apple I mean slowly I am forcing myself to like it but not as a single when she has other rock-ass songs! NEways I hope I am not the only one on this one, maybe we should write the company! I donno let me know whatcha think.

I argee Apple is a horrible choice. Frankly I *hate* the way her record company is running things. WWWY should have been the first single and then Loser (cos it's catchy not really good) and then Ordinary Day. They aren't balancing things out very well.

It's a good idea to appeal to Americans (which is only cos Europeans will buy it either way and we won't cos we suck) and soft songs don't sell here very well.

I'm not sure you should lump all Americans into the category of "sucking"  - I will usually purchase most singles because The Cranberries usually toss in a b-side, so whether it's a soft song or something harder, I'll be buying it. I think I can speak for alot of people when I say that......

And not necessarily all Europeans are going to buy everything that gets released. I think the record company is going to do what they want no matter what, so the best we can do is anticpate the next single and make the most of it!

Well if you listen to American radio and then European one there is a huge difference. I am an American so obviously I love my country. I just don't think we have the best musical taste... not anymore at least. I'm more of a joker as I've said before, most of what I say isn't serious. So hope I didn't rub you the wrong way.

And well of course she isn't going to sell in every European place but she will sell more over there than here without a doubt.

LOL Now I have 2 agree with MEG on this one, Apple won't go far here in America it would be a rare thing if you will hear it more then 3 times in it's rotation! America is now about pop, hip-hop, and rock and Apple doesn't fall in any catagory and let me emphasize on AND it will be a miracle if Ordinary Day gets rotated in the radio stations over here! I know VH1 which is our music television will play it but to MTV they'll laugh at it here... And yes MEG she will do better in europe. And about "Apple" Like Toni Braxton sang "It's just another sad love song"

I have to disagree with you and say that I love each and every song (with the exception of ecstasy) on the album, but then again I have always loved all of her songs.  However I do agree that this album will not go very far in America...just like every album since she became happily married ;)  If only she recorded the songs on this album the way she plays them in concert. There was definitely more rock edge to them!
