I've seen this thread on other forums, I always liked it. People post their favorite Song of the Day.

    Wonderwall by Oasis

Oasis, great band. This video is from Oasis's Familiar to Millons DVD. I have it, it's a pretty good DVD with a lot of good stuff on it.

Anyway, here is Oasis on You Tube playin' Wonderwall live in Wembley Stadium. This song is magical, if your feelin' down it can lift you up again...enjoy.

    People We Want by Kenickie

Gone but not forgotten, Kenickie another great female driven band from Britian that unfortunately, is no more. They were pretty big in the UK in the late nineties.

Couldn't care less - THE CARDIGANS (album: long gone before daylight)

what to say about cardigans that people don't know already. they are with us for many years now. i can only remind people of them and they excellent albums:emmerdale, first band on the moon, the other side of the moon, life, gran turismo, long gone before daylight, super extra gravity.

after more than decade they're still brilliant as they were at the biggining.

there is a new cd - best of, with special edition with raretis. check it out.

    HALO -by Depeche Mode

    Album: Violator 1990.

very beautiful and emotional song with great lyrics

    You wear guilt
    Like shackles on your feet
    Like a halo in reverse
    I can feel
    The discomfort in your seat
And in your head it's worse

    There's a pain
    A famine in your heart
    An aching to be free
    Can't you see
    All love's luxuries
Are here for you and me

And when our worlds they fall apart
When the walls come tumbling in
    Though we may deserve it
    It will be worth it

    Bring your chains
    Your lips of tragedy
    And fall into my arms

And when our worlds they fall apart
When the walls come tumbling in
    Though we may deserve it
    It will be worth it

DEPECHE MODE - WORLD IN MY EYES (album: Violator)

this is one very passionate and sensual song by Depeche Mode.

And I have to say that Martin Gore is brilliant song writter and he creates such a strong and beautiful songs

    World in My Eyes

Let me take you on a trip
    Around the world and back
And you won't have to move
    You just sit still

Now let your mind do the walking
And let my body do the talking
Let me show you the world in my eyes

I'll take you to the highest mountain
To the depths of the deepest sea
And we won't need a map
    Believe me

Now let my body do the moving
And let my hands do the soothing
Let me show you the world in my eyes

    That's all there is
Nothing more than you can feel now
    That's all there is

Let me put you on a ship
    On a long, long trip
Your lips close to my lips

All the islands in the ocean
    All the heaven's in motion
Let me show you the world in my eyes

    That's all there is
Nothing more than you can touch now
    That's all there is

Let me show you the world in my eyes

Insight - Depeche Mode (Ultra 1997.)

for past few days these lyrics are constantly in my head

.... And the spirit of love
         Is rising within me
         Talking to you now
         Telling you clearly
         The fire still burns....

I am totally in love with Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer. Simple, great song. Band just got back together after nearly 4 years disbanded. Carly Smithson is good too. She's the only girl on Idol with an actual personality. This being said by the one who dislikes Miley Cyrus the most.
