This post may open up a large can of worms.....we will allow it, however, if it gets out of control and/or heated, it may need to be shut down. Alot of people have strong feelings either way about America, as well as about other countries.

 All I ask is that everyone respects each other and does not attack anyone.

I'd like to answer your question with another question: why are you asking that, scottish1?

By the way, answering such a question doesn't make too much sense if you don't circumscribe it in a more definite context.  I mean, one could talk for hours about America, about what we like and what we don't, about what enchants us and what we're scared of, about what we'd like to imitate and what we can't understand.  Otherwise, any generic opinion would be a stupid stereotype.

I agree. You can never say a country is fully right or wrong, as there's always a load of nice and bad people everywhere :)

im not trying to upset anyone.... I was just trying to get opinions from people sourt of outside the box people that know what's  going on and get their point of view on all the situations that are going on.

well.. america for me, politiclly, is very powerful and helpful, but i guess you intend to culture and so

firstly, i think about living in america as lifestyle without limitless, becouse all the possibilities in all boundary in life.

the culture there divided. generally i love america..

I can't say much for America. I've never been there.But I don't like it so much. I mean, I don't hate it, I don't have any special reason for that. I've only seen or read about it. I don't think that it's corect way to made opinion - from TV. TV can present a lot of things in a wrong way.

I agree, TV can misconstrue the reality of something....and it's damn good at it too. :)  I've been in America for awhile now and I can safely say it's better than living in some less fortunate countries.
