    Meg:
I totally agree. I love Ecstasy cos it's fantastic and it's by far my favorite but Stay With Me is totally badass too. It reminds me of one of my favorite Metallica songs, Nothing Else Matters.

By now Stay With Me has become my favourite song from Are You Listening?

I thought that die-hard metal fans didn't love Nothing Else Matters, at least this is what a friend of mine, inveterate Metallica fan, affirms.  You're confirming my diagnosis about your personality, Meg: a romantic soul inside a metal heart. Big Smile  (Metal Heart is a song by Garbage; I love Garbage!)

You see I have an apprecitation for when an artist can do something different to what their usual style. Like when Dolores does a Gothic song like Black Widow, I appreciate when that Metallica can write ballads as well as metal songs. My Metallica obsessed from Adam would agree with me on this. I know, it makes me laugh somethings. I've heard Garbage is fantastic by so many people now. I really should check them out.

I agree with you, Meg, and I too appreciate the way Black Widow wants to be different from the usual Cranberries' song, especially the most recent ones.  Some fans would like their favourite artists never to diverge from their clichés, but in my opinion it's a narrow-minded attitude.

You mean you don't know Garbage? Surprise  I wonder if they're as popular in America as they are in Europe.  Anyway, you should check them out, definitely.  Version 2.0 is my favourite album by Garbage (it seems that I always like the second album most!), but I love also many songs from the other three albums (Stupid Girl, Only Happy When It Rains, Milk, Why Do You Love Me, just to mention the first titles that come to my mind now).

I think that when a singer can prove that they can go and do something different despite what everyone else wants them to do that is what shows real talent. Which is probably why I love the Cure. They always do the unexpected. First it was punk, then it was Goth, then it was electro, then it was dream pop, then it was alternative and synth pop and so forth. You never know what to expect from them cos they're so daring. Which anywho is why Dolores' new album is so special. It is a step in a new and different direction that I wouldn't have given her credit for being able to do before.

Oh I know who Garbage is. I just have never been fortunate (as I've been told) enough to listen to them. I should go pirate some of their songs off LimeWire. And now that I have suggestions I think I will. Thanks, I'm always interested in all kinds of new music.

Btw, I moved this cos it seems more fit to be in Dolores reviews instead.

I love Garbage! Although their older stuff is easier on my ears than the newer stuff. Definitely like the first two CDs the best.....and they put on a great show!

I know you know who Garbage are.  I meant that probably, if you lived in Europe, you would have been fortunate enough to listen to them quite often, because they're quite popular here and their songs show up frequently on radios and TVs.

I voted for When We Were Young, but I must admit that I like almost each song too much to be able to select only one of them.

I voted for Angelfire, but a few more songs are my favorite:

    • Apple of my eye
    • Ecstasy
    • Ordinary day
    • Accept things

And ofcourse the other songs are also great. I realy like them all.

I really like Stay With Me.It reminds me of the Cranberries` golden days...sorry...i still can`t Accept Things......but...I live in a hope I will accept it someday...

Oh, and about Garbage...I like their older stuff but the last album wasn`t really my thing...I feel like they`re wasted, at least they were at the time of releasing Bleed Like Me...

I should probably add Willow Pattern, Without You and Forever to the options now but I'm too lazy at the moment. In note Willow Pattern and Forever are *amazing*.

I have to admit that 'Loser' and 'October' have stuck in my brain. I think 'Ordinary Day' is weak at best. Surprised that was the first single.

I can't pick one.The whole album is terrific.

But I just can't stop listening to:"When we were young",
    "Loser","Black widow" and "Human Spirit".
