Nice added addition to the site, great job. Fergal's Journal is excellent reading...I like it.

I'll hardly call it a new feature, more so a ressurection of an old... and it's not feature per se because Fergal isn't updating it anymore (well not on here, check TLN's myspace for that).

But yeah that journal had some good reads here and there.

Dear Kelly, I'm afraid I must agree with Saeed.  OK, we may call this feature "a nice walk down memory lane": those who used to read it some time ago will be pleased to read it again, while those who didn't know it will consider it a new read.  But I wouldn't call it a "new feature", anyway.

I suppose I can guess what Saeed meant on a more general basis: the real flaw of this forum, and actually of the whole site, is that it totally lacks any contribution from the former band members.  We can admit it or not, but Cranberries.com clearly looks like a site about a broken-up band.  It's not by chance that the title of its home page reads "The Official Community of the Cranberries" instead of "The Official Site of the Cranberries".  It means this site is made up by the fans, not by the band, which actually doesn't exist anymore.

I understand what your point is, Luca. I also understand the frustration from everyone at the lack of contribution from the former band members, but I guess really they don't have any responsibility to contribute. HOWEVER, that said, before I even read your post, I inquired about having someone from the band become somewhat active, even if for only 1 or 2 posts, on this site.....

Who knows....stranger things have happened. In the meantime, I guess we use this forum as a way to continue talk about the new projects, and maybe as a trading site for cranberries memorabilia??? Just my 2 cents....

I'm afraid my post can be misunderstood, Gwen.  I didn't mean that the "memory lane" thing was a bad idea.  There's nothing wrong with it.  I just meant that I would have liked to read some fresh contributions by Fergal, Dolores, Noel or Mike, instead of Fergal's old journal.  It wasn't a reproach to the site, it was just an observation: this site looks like the site of a broken-up band, because, alas, that's what the Cranberries actually are, a broken-up band.

I know we have to face this fact, yet I think it would be great to have a contribution from the former band members, if they feel like doing it.  But they won't, I know.

ummm put up some old music i'm talkin demos that weren't released yeah they are being circulated by fans but it would mean so much more if the site actually gave it away.

Theres nothing you can do for this site because the band is broken up are focusing on their own projects. I actually miss that BTH game though. For those who remember that.

Maybe stream some live shows like every month or week up a live show for download or stream from the archives. 

I totally agree with putting up some live stuff. That was such a big thing within the community when the band was in their prime, I would love to see some live shows put up here for download.....great idea!

And good golly, I can't believe it's been that long (looking at the journal entries). I do remember reading some of those! And the BTH game, Saeed! I had all but forgotten about that until I read your post.
