A few years back I picked up Doors and Windows at a used recordshop for $5.95. I see a number of people on Ebay are currently selling it. Their prices range from $1.99 to $29.99. At least two of the sellers state that it's rare. I'm not selling it, it's not for sale. I was just curious to know how much it was worth.

Does anyone know if this is rare?

It is very much rare. However, I hear that windows XP users have trouble with it. Don't know how true that is because I don't actually own a copy.

Yes, I have Windows XP and sadly it won't play :(

I don't think it's super rare, but it's not exactly readily found, either. I don't know what currency you're in but I think I paid about the equivalent US$14 for mine, second hand.

My roommate is a big Cranberries fan and for his birthday I bought the The Cranberries - Doors and Windows(RainbowCD). Under Windows XP the cd refuses to be read. Is there a fix available to not only actually view the multimedia content, but also to play the tracks on his computer (since he doesn't uses a stand-alone audioplayer anylonger.)

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Ronald - I am not aware of any way to make it work. You can put it in a mac... does anyone else in the flat have a computer? Always worth a try...

Sorry I can't be of much help!

Yes the CD is rare and I have XP and the music plays just fine, you just can't use the multimedia feature on the CD that's all, So for those of you wondering yes the CD will play on Windows XP & if isn't your disc might be too scratched/damaged to play the songs but my songs play, I just can't use the multimedia features on the CD and from what I've heard the mutlimedia features will only play on Windows 95 no higher or lower.

Just our of curiosity what media player is everyone using? (Windows Media Player, iTunes, RealPlayer, etc.) I used it on Windows Media Player 11 and it played the songs.

Is it rare? Seriously? My local record shop is selling it for like $5. I have Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and I would like to run it if I bought it. Is it absolutely impossible to run it on XP?
