Well I got a point and shoot and I never use flash unless the artist says with their own mouth it's OK. (At an Imogen Heap concert, she put on her sunglasses and posed so everyone could get a great pic with flash )  Mostly though, it's just so annoying!  If you are right near the stage though, (Which I'm gonna do, because I always get to general seatings early :D ) you don't even need flash because of the lights.  If all else fails, if they so no cameras at all, and I see people getting in trouble when they take theirs out and snap away, I keep it in my pocket. 

  One last question for you guys.  I blog... ALOT...and I was thinking to make things easier... Would you guys like me to make a seperate Myspace, just for my concert travels?  I was thinking that way all the pictures, vids, and blogs are right there!  Just artists! :)

Hey Caroline, it is true that most people in Montreal know and speak some English, but I don't think its personal preference. Perhaps it is because they need it for business reasons. I went to Montreal a few times and there seemed to be a double standard. A business side for the French and one for the English, kind of weird feeling. The worst is when I went to Hong Kong, the Chinese have to try and speak English because they get a lot of business from Tourists. When they know I am a tourist they treat me different from the locals.

Other than that, it was pretty fun in Montreal. Running around and getting good eats. Schwartz I think is the name of the storey for yummy Montreal smoked meat :) Also, Le Belle Province for the "Steamy" and poutine

Hi!  I'm from Montreal and I'm going to the show July 6th with my boyfriend and my brother.  I'm suppose to be leaving work early to go wait in line at the Metropolis (so I'm right in front).

Living here for all my live, I agree that it is a double standard here.  I won't get into details cause I don't want to get nasty...ha ha!  Let's just say I have my opinion....I speak both english and french, and to be able to survive here in Quebec/Montreal, you need both languages.  The majority is french speaking though (except for the touristic areas like the Old Port and downtown Montreal).  If anyone needs help in french, let me know. 

If anyone wants to join me/us at the show on July 6th, you are more than welcome.  I also have tickets to the Toronto show on July 7th and I'll be driving down early morning for that show.
